the lap top battey only charged three times then died, it now will not charge. i used my old battery when i had the lap top plugged in to save the new battery. i contacted smart parts and was told i could not return it after 90 days and i had it 92 days. so if you really want to order from smart parts be sure to check it out so you can return it within the 90 days. 75 bucks thrown away.

This is a battery. Batteries store energy. This battery is a good battery because it does, in fact, store energy. What more can you ask for? Nothing. Please ask for nothing more. Overall, great purchase. Cheaper than a lot of others, potentially all; got it fast.

The battery I purchased works really well. It can hold a charge for 2+ hours. So much better than my other battery that was almost 2 years old and only lasted for about 30-45 minutes.
I'm not totally convinced that the battery I purchased is a genuine HP product even though the ad led me to believe it to be so. There are a couple of words that are misspelled that make me question who actually manufactured the battery.

I was very disappointed in this battery and will try & return or re sell it.
There isn't a sticker to say that it is an "HP" battery and the return address was someone's apartment. Unfortunately for me - the laptop died a day after receiving so I no longer need it.

I purchased this laptop battery through amazon, via Northparts USA, LLC (partner merchant). Initially, the battery worked well. About 1-2 months later the battery would not fully charge to full capacity (100%). Instead it would only charge to about 20 %. I placed another battery to make sure that it was not my computer or software issue. It wasn't. I am not sure about the quality of the products from this particular merchant. I question if this is a refurbished battery. I would not buy form this merchant (Northparts) again. Amazon's transaction was flawless as usual.
